Biggest Piece of Shit since the CED Videodisc Player

Meet the Coleco Adam released in 1983

I learned about this piece of shit from Cracked.com's article "The 5 Most Ridiculously Awful Computers Ever Made".  Now I know its not like we could expect much form a computer from the early 80’s but the mind boggling bad concept of this device is shear insanity!

It had several glitches undesirable qualities but the one that jumps out at me is this. When the device was turned on it released a surge of magnetism. That’s all fine and good with the exception that fucking software was actually, Mother Fucking Actually stored on Cassette Tapes!

If you don’t know the math it works like this. Magnet + Recording tape (Cassette, VHS, shit your too young to know about) = All info on tape erased!

Imagine that. A machine designed to collect, store, and retrieve data that’s destroys it when its turned on.
