So its pretty much a given fact that Climate Change is happening. Is anyone really arguing this point anymore?

Its happening got it. Its essentially scientifically proven and charted with examples showing what is happening to our planets temperature and what is currently resulting from its change.

But its not the issue of “if its happening” or “why its happening” that’s bothering me.

What’s bothering me is that all I hear about is “if its happening” or “why its happening”.

I don’t hear shit about what we are going to actually do about it. And I don’t mean cut back on C02’s, or create new tougher factory standards, I’m talking about what the fuck are we going to do when are Planetary Shit starts hitting the Geographic Fan.

I don’t hear a damn thing about that. Am I supposed to buy a thicker winter coat or dig a bomb shelter, or just move into my Mormon neighbors when their gone for a weekend?

The Left sounds like if we all road bikes to work everything would go back to normal.

The Right comes across as don’t worry about it, it will just cost more if we do.

I hear a lot about the planet is in danger, or the end of the Earth. This is complete Bullshit. Technically speaking there is nothing wrong with the Earth. Its doing fine, has no real complaints, and has dealt with a lot worse then us or couple extra degrees in temperature.

Earth doesn’t give a shit. Earth has no conscious. It just is. And what it is something that doesn’t give a shit about us.

That I think sums it up. We are acting soooooo self important on this issue. It has nothing to do with the planet, it has everything to do with us. Maybe we should put a more human face on the issue and ball can get rolling.

A geological inconvenience to the Earth is far too grand for the average person to understand. But our neighborhood being flooded with septic waste sounds like it will motivate people to get their shit together, or at least better contained.

So I say hey Human Population that lives on Earth, what’s our species plan? The Earth is changing its so how are we going to fit in to it? If we don’t figure out how, then we don’t get to make it into the exclusive “Species who Survived the Mass Extinction” club.
